Taapsee Pannu, Richa Chadha Laud Jaya Bachchan As She Slams Those Vilifying Bollywood, Call Her ‘The Face Of Fearlessness’
A few weeks ago, reports of a drug angle surfaced in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case, after which, Kangana Ranaut made some sensational claims about the alleged drug use in Bollywood. Popular Bhojpuri actor Ravi Kishan also reportedly alleged that drug addiction is in the film industry too. Now, Samajwadi Party MP and actor Jaya Bachchan raised a Zero Hour notice in Rajya Sabha and she reportedly said in the Parliament that people in the entertainment industry are being flogged by social media. She slammed those vilifying Bollywood, and now, Taapsee Pannu, Richa Chadha, and Anubhav Sinha have lauded Jaya Bachchan.

NDTV quoted Jaya Bachchan saying in the parliament, “Just because of a few people, you cannot tarnish the whole industry... I was really embarrassed and ashamed that yesterday one our members in the Lok Sabha, who is from the industry, spoke against the film industry. Jis thaali me khaate hain usi me chched karte hain.” Filmmaker Anubhav Sinha reacted to Jaya Bachchan’s speech and wrote, “जया जी को सादर प्रणाम भेजता हूँ। जिनको पता नहीं वो देख लें। रीढ़ की हड्डी ऐसी दिखती है।" This was retweeted by Taapsee and Richa Chadha who also hailed Jaya Bachchan for her firm stand.

Taapsee Pannu wrote, “For we have always stood by the initiatives, causes and awareness campaigns. It’s time for payback. Hitting the nail on its head and how !  yet again a woman from the industry spoke up #Respect.” Richa Chadha wrote, “Mrs. Jaya Bachchan started her career with legend Satyajit Ray and then went on to redefine Hindi cinema. Watch this to see the face of fearlessness. The 'agents' and khurchans participating in the deliberate vilification of Bollywood will self-destruct like bhasmasurs. #respect.” Take a look:


Meanwhile, Ravi Kishan spoke to Aaj Tak and said that Jaya Bachchan didn’t read his statement properly and that he was expecting support from her, but in turn, he was slammed by her. Read more about it here.
